While I am working on processing the past couple of weddings in queue, I wanted to share Jay's bridal portraits with you all. How stunning is she?! We did her portraits at her home - the same place where she said her vows - against the backdrop of the river. I love, love the contrast between Jay's elegance and the rugged trees and sand bars.

Internet, meet Annie. We have been friends for over 10 years and I absolutely adore her. I actually met her online, when we were both still in college. We have spent countless hours chatting online through AIM (remember the days?!) and these days through Facebook chat. We've shared vacations in Cape Cod, Tampa, NYC and even a bit of touring in Washington DC.

I know I'm not supposed to have favorites, but I can't help it this time. This wedding is one of my all time favorite weddings I've ever shot and you'll soon see why.

As they sat just one seat apart on the track team bus, he charmed her with his 100-watt smile and the seed was forever planted. Weeks passed and their friendship grew. Four years later, best friends finally gave into love and planned to walk down the aisle to make it official.

Graham & Emily | Ashland Engagement Photographer

Internet, meet Graham & Emily. Emily has been a dear friend of mine for years. We met in college our freshman year at Longwood University (did you know I went to Longwood? Oh yes. And a very influential year of my life, it was!) and have been friends since. When she got engaged this year I was SO excited for her! And of course, extremely honored when she asked me to be her photographer. It was awesome to finally meet Graham when we met up for their engagement session. They were adorably sweet together and made my job a cinch! I love engagement sessions so much because it helps show my clients that having your picture taken "isn't so bad." In fact, it's kind of fun and relaxing. Plus, you get to spend the entire session cuddling and loving on each other! Score! :) Here are a few of my favorites from their session:

I'm so excited about their wedding this fall!!
