I Dream of A Wedding | #sincerelylizphoto

Last Thursday, Valentine's Day, was the Second Annual I Dream of a Wedding event sponsored by Hill City Bride. This years couple, Gabe and Erika, were absolutely adorable, sooo in love, and super laid back... a perfect combination for planning a dream wedding with various preselected vendors! I was honored and excited to have been selected to shoot Erika's bridal portrait session on the grounds of the West Manor Estate. We met up last fall for this session so I have been holding onto these pictures for a LONG time. I'm super excited to share them with you! Thanks again to Jennifer, the heart and soul behind the I Dream of a Wedding project and for inviting me to be a part of the big event again this year! Style Shoot | Lynchburg Wedding Photographer

So I mentioned to you all weeks ago (on Facebook) that I was working on a special project and I couldn't wait to share the details with you. Well, the day has finally come! A few months ago Jennifer called me about an idea for a project and after hearing the details it didn't take me more than a second to decide I was on board. After a few long meetings with a core group of people (the project management team), we watched as various Hill City Bride vendors came together on a cold, snowy day in an old building with no electricity (read: no heat) and broken out windows. They brought their individual talents and came together to make Jennifer's vision come to life. The images you see below are the final results.

I could not be more proud of this project, more happy for Jennifer, or more excited about future projects with Hill City Bride. Please check out the fruits of our labor in Lynchburg Living's Hitched issue that came out just this past Wednesday and also in coming weeks on the Hill City Bride blog. In the meantime, here are a few pictures I took of the magazine spread.

Bliss, a fine wedding fair | Lynchburg Wedding Photographer

The past few days I have been in planning mode, preparing for Bliss, a Fine Wedding Fair. I am so very excited about the event! It is like no other event we've had in Lynchburg.

Hill City Bride is hosting their very first bridal fair.  Please read: It is not just a bridal show! It is a couple hours dedicated to planning your wedding day with the help of many of the Hill City Bride vendors.  Even if you have picked all your vendors, it will be informational and helpful as a bride.  Think, the in-person, live version of the blog. Main sessions and small breakout sessions allow you to speak one-on-one in a small setting with experts in their field about topics such as getting the most out of your wedding day photography, how to make your guests feel special with little touches, how to entertain with ease after you are married, and more!

There will be Hill City Bride vendor booths set up to visit, but the bulk of the day will be for special learning sessions and a coffee bar, lunch and dessert bar is also included. In addition to the things you will learn, Bliss includes a lot of really cool giveaways including an amazing FREE honeymoon giveaway! The attendance is small scale (less than 100), so you WILL have time to get a lot of good information (not just business cards from booths) and you WILL have great chances to walk away with great prizes.

I hope you will come out to see us tomorrow in downtown Lynchburg! The only thing that could add to my excitement about the whole day is actually seeing a few of my brides there, too!

Hill City Bride | Photographer's Tea

It has been such a pleasure to be a part of the advertising family over at Hill City Bride. Jennifer has been doing so much for the vendors that advertise with HCB as well as other wedding vendors. On Monday she threw a little get together for women photographers in the area (advertisers and non-advertisers with HCB). We met at the new Ploughcroft Tea Room downtown and had tea together! It was such a lovely time of connecting with other ladies that share the same passion for photography. I am grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community here in Lynchburg.
