Registration is now open! | July Birth Photography Q+A

I may or may not be running around like a chicken with its head chopped off today. Wait. Have you ever seen that? I have a friend from high school who was scarred by witnessing that very scene in-person... she grew up on a farm and to this day does not like chickens. I always smile when I think of that... then I have a wake-up call and wonder what the heck my girls will be scarred by as children that may follow them into adulthood.

I digress!

Today! Big day.....!!

July Birth Photography Q&A

A few weeks ago my friend Emily and I threw out into the social media world our big idea about hosting an online Birth Photography Q&A. We opened 10 seats and we crossed our fingers that someone would register! Maybe even two people?? Imagine our surprise when all ten spots were filled in less than an HOUR. Ah!

A Liberty University Wedding | Zach & Lindsay

A Liberty University Wedding | Zach & Lindsay

Have you ever been completely surrounded by GOOD people? I mean... standing in a room of 200+ people all of whom have the most genuine and joy-filled hearts you've ever met? I have. It was at Zach and Lindsay's wedding. I even looked at my second-shooter that day, Maria, and I said "Every single person here is so GOOD. They are all oozing-joy... shining their genuinely happy hearts all around this room!" She confirmed the feeling I had.

If that doesn't say something about the kind of people Zach and Lindsay are, I don't know what would.

Introducing a New Series: The First 100 Days

Introducing a New Series: The First 100 Days

The first 100 days... the fourth trimester... the early days of postpartum. All of these refer to the first three months of life with a newborn who is adjusting to the world outside of the womb. (And a mama whose body is trying to find balance between pregnancy and normalcy.) This is a trying time... a bittersweet season of minimal sleep and a lot of questions. Yes, there are hours of gazing in admiration of your sweet babe and sharing this love with your family and friends. But, sometimes these three months are harder than you expect.

A Farmville Maternity Session | Ben & Katie

A Farmville Maternity Session | Ben & Katie

Oh my heart. I don't even know where to begin with these two. Ben is the younger brother of one of my amazing college roommates, Mollie. While I paid my way through college, I took a few semesters off here and there so I could work and save more money for school. During one break, I actually lived in the most adorable farm house in (the real) Farmville, VA and I would have to walk through Ben's room every day to access my little attic room. It was so dreamy waking up to a blanket of glowing fog as the sun rose over the farm every morning.
