Twins! Double the fun - for sure! I laughed so much during this session with Katie, Evan and their babies Foster and Charlotte. We photographed their milestone session in a field near the studio in Forest, Virginia. These sweet babies personalities are so different and if that’s not entertaining enough, each of them has the most adorable facial expressions that had me giggling nonstop! I couldn’t get enough of this sweet family and I really enjoyed our time together during their sunset session.
While we were preparing for their session, Katie scheduled two separate wardrobe consultations (of course there is no additional fee for this). The first time we met up we discussed her hopes for their final portraits (and all the photo combinations she wanted) and we took the time to look through all of the wardrobe pieces available for each member of her family. She went home armed with a better idea of what to choose for each person and then scheduled a second consultation to bring the babies in to try clothes on and finalize her choices. She put a lot of thought and effort into their attire and I think it absolutely paid off for their final portraits!
I don’t usually recommend we plan milestone sessions outdoors because any outdoor session needs to be scheduled near sunset for the most ideal lighting. Most babies are ready for bed by that time of day, but not these two! They were all smiles and full of energy! Everything worked out great and I love the touch of that sunset glow in their final gallery!
