Oh I adore this family newborn shoot!
When Whitney first inquired, she shared with me that she had a challenging experience for their oldest’s newborn session years earlier. While I am always on a mission to ease any stress my clients may have, I was really focused on this for Whitney’s sake. I know even the thought of planning for and arriving to the session was causing her noticeable stress and I don’t feel it should ever be that way for anyone! I work hard to create a calm and relaxing environment by thinking about all the elements of your shoot before you do and having as many solutions lined up as possible. It is my hope that this preparation on my end makes everything easier on your end.
Of course planning ahead is always helpful, but the truth is, you can honestly show up with your messy bun and yoga pants and we have the necessary means available right here at the studio to transform you and your family members into photo ready condition in just an hour or so! :)
Whitney arrived to the studio first with just her sweet newborn in tow. (Okay, she also had a bag of clothes and some make-up with her. :)) While I worked to photograph baby girl’s newborn portraits on the beanbag, Whitney dressed and worked on finishing touches for herself. She laid out clothing for her husband and older daughter and when they arrived about 90 minutes after we started, we all worked together to help everyone settle in for a few family portraits. Once those were complete, I was able to focus on photos of baby alone with mom, dad and big sister. It was easy going and relaxing and Whitney sent me a quick text later that day to ensure me her experience was much better this time around!
